The other day I went to see the movie 2012 with my sis and dad, while the visual effects were amazing, the whole storyline and the way they pictured it to me was WAY over Holywoodized. (yeah thats a word!) Don't get me wrong I like America but I feel they screwed up big time on this, the whole idea of 'end of the world' IS the END OF THE WORLD, NO SURVIVORS! NADA! But of course they twisted this idea and screwed up the mayan calendar along with it >:0 I dont like it how people still survive even though thats not the point. Just like the movie Independance Day, I feel they put America again too much in the spotlight, which can be annoying, why dont they basically make a movie of them waving american flags around? In the end it felt like they overkilled it, and focused on trying to make a really amazing movie to empty all of our pockets that they didnt really focus on the whole concept/idea of the mayan calendar/end of the world. Rant over. SOrry don't think im dissing america, I have lots of great american buddies and love the country, this is just my opinion on the movie! xD
